Improved Gross Motor Skills

Used to be, my little boy could only go backward in this Little Tikes toy car.  Now, at almost three years old, he could not only move forward but make u-turns and left and right turns in this car.  How he has grown...  Still, little babies and toddlers are the fastest-growing creatures on earth.  I'm so amazed.  And I give you praise, my Lord.

When the Daddy is Away

The Prayer to Father Lord

I just came back from a short, final conference in KL.  Missed my big bundle of joy to bits.  What welcomed me was something thrilling and unexpected.  I was totally awed by J. In his own words:

J: Father Lord, please help me poop poop. Jesus' name, Amen.

Auntie Huiling commented: Suddenly your little man realised the power of speech.
And it dawned on his old man and mom how much he has grown.  A revelation indeed.  (A later realisation is that he learns mainly through the auditory channel.)

We, the parents, have been tasked to make a V-day card to our little one to be pinned up on the board in school.  Thank God for the creative streak He has put in me.  This little card in less than half an hour.

Enjoying the Big Bundle of Joy?

I've been asked when I'll have a second child.  Besides telling people "no," I asked myself if I'd be ready for another one.  To begin with, I have my hyperthyroid condition to manage.  And I don't think I have enjoyed my big bundle of joy enough.  I'm totally contented with little J.  Even if I grow to be discontented, having another child won't be a solution to the discontentment, don't you think?

So, there we have it.
