Life's Just Got Easier

Truly, one of the best things that ever happened to Junior was that he is able to hold his head now. Strong neck he has. We can now carry him upright without worrying about twisting his neck.

With the strong neck, he can sit up (though still wobbly), he can start to eat solids, he can look at the world from a new perspective. I think he is enjoying this new found freedom somehow.

But for the mummy, time simply flashes past. It seems like just yesterday that I took this stranger home. And now, the stranger has grown bigger, longer, and a bit more independent. He can go to sleep on his own fairly well. He can gurgle lots of sounds by now. He can almost hold his milk bottle on his own.

I get a little scared really. Worried that he will grow up to be naughty. Scared that he falls sick. Worried that he is not a happy baby. Scared that he does not have chances to learn new things like some other kids with rich parents could.

But Berry reminds me occasionally that what matters is he is happy and healthy. Yes, I still pray for Junior to have a healthy mind, body and soul. Most importantly, he must grow up knowing God. These are my only 2 wishes for him.

Flipping

Junior can't turn from lying on his back to lying on his tummy. But... guess what? Today, he can turn the other way round - from lying on his tummy to lying on his back. Ho ho ho... Well done! You go boy!

Grumpy Baby Meant for the Igloo

Junior looking grumpy because of the heat. It was late afternoon around 5.30pm and we were strolling in Lower Peirce Reservoir Park. We love to take baby to such nature walks. The Botanical Gardens is another favourite haunt. I'll always tell Junior, "Bay, this is where you popped out from mummy's tummy" when we passed by Gleneagles.

Nope. Bay isn't his name. It's my shortform for baby.

Good Ole Bamboo (Not Bumbo)

My bro sat in this; my sis sat in this; I sat in this; my niece sat in this 2 years ago; now my baby is sitting in this for meals at his grandparents' home. Nice bamboo...

Raining Cereal

It's a total huge mess. Tried out the Ikea bibs - gifts from my sil - and Junior messed up his bumbo and hands and feet big time.

Got baby a new toy -- bumbo seat! He loves it! See how stylo he looks sitting in it. Huh huh huh...

Load Carrier

It's useful. Relatively easy to get bb on. Does tire out my shoulders occasionally. Overall, it's a good helper. Ta da!!! Introducing the sling carrier!
